The winery is located in the highest area of Pago de Capellanías, from where you can see a spectacular image of the region of Andújar and much of the Guadalquivir Valley.
The building is a construction of the early twentieth century. The opening of the winery took place in the 50s with 15 vines aranzadas. During this time, the winery produced mainly white wines: marketed as "Oloroso Goleta", "Blanco Tres Coronas", "Realeza", "Fino Capellanías" and Clarete Virgen de la Cabeza.
At present, the winery has been modernized to adapt to new technical and commercial requirements for the production of red wines.
The elaboration of the wine is carried out in a careful and artisan way, pampering the grape in all the phenological stages.
The harvesting of the grapes is done manually in boxes so that they arrive in the most optimal conditions and preserve all the varietal aromas.
The grapes are processed daily and introduced into the fermentation tanks, where the native yeasts are developed and daily overruns are made.
Once the fermentations have been completed, the traditional pressing is carried out and the wine is left to "sleep" during the winter to achieve a natural clarification, giving rise in spring to the birth of the "wine of the year".
